Gus loves Juliana
Making it Personal
The groom was a DJ in Spain when he was younger so having a great DJ with an epic dance party was super important! Gus actually DJ’ed the final set of the night, and he had the whole crowd dancing until 1:15am.
Design
For someone who doesn’t love color (and usually sticks to neutrals) Juliana was really into the wallpaper at Dalida! This allowed us to stay pretty neutral with the florals and decor, so we really only bring in a pops of color with the blue napkins.
When we were working on the ceremony design, Juliana had a vision of a circular ceremony space with candles surrounding the different aisles. When it came to figuring out how she would walk down the aisle with such a unique ceremony articulation, we decided to go for all of the DRAMA. We had the wedding party, except for Juliana and her father, walk through the main entrance gate. We had Juliana and her father walk behind the columns, so her guests would get glimpses of her during her long walk until she made it all the way to the front gate. We wanted the ceremony to scream dramatic elegance and with the decor, chair set up, and Juliana’s unforgettable walk in, I think we nailed it!
The Food!
Juliana and Gus chose Dalida for a lot of reasons, but one of the main reasons was that it offered some traditional Spanish cuisine, which was important to them because Gus and his family are Spanish!
