Two Incredible Ceremony Options
Cavallo Point has two ceremony sites that offer very different experiences. The outdoor space, Mission Blue Lawn, has two enormous eucalyptus trees that frame a peek-a-boo view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Nearby, is the historic Mission Blue Chapel, a beautiful indoor space with warm wood, vaulted ceilings and a built in stage. The space was an inter-denominational venue that was not only used for all religious faiths, but as a rec room when the space was an army base. The name Mission Blue is in honor of an endangered butterfly found in the region.
Flow Options
The primary reception space that the property utilizes for larger weddings (around 100-150ppl) is the Callippe Ballroom. This space was originally the gymnasium of the property and due to the footprint which included a general store and bowling alley, the space has the perfect flow for a wedding- a foyer and outdoor terrace for the cocktail hour, small room at the back for vendor storage and meals, and the bowling alley which was restored in the last few years for after parties!
Guest Rooms
The hotel offers two unique room types that allow a couple to select what feels the best for their needs and aesthetic. The historic rooms are the original officer’s housing and have beautiful vintage details like crown moulding, wrap around porches, and built in cabinetry. These rooms are a beautiful historic backdrop for getting ready photos. More contemporary style? Choose one of their modern rooms which offer sleek lines and killer bridge and bay views.
Hanging Installations
The Callippe Ballroom offers great beams in the soaring ceilings – perfect for hanging florals! Of course you will need a florist who can handle the rigging or is comfortable working with the onsite lighting company who can assist.
